Augusta welcomes Scott Johnson, author of
"The Stately Ghosts of Augusta"
The first in a series of The Mayor's Guide titles, The Stately Ghosts of Augusta
is as much a history lesson as a collection of spooky tales and sightings from
all over the Garden City. For each of the supernaturally-active locales,
Johnson includes an overview of the documented owners and real-life occurrences
that might have led to the presence of the specters that now reside. Johnson also
recommends times of the year to visit each location, as well as times the sites
are open to the public.
Just a few of the sites Johnson highlights are: Augusta National,
The Ezekiel Harris House, Augusta State University, Pendleton King Park,
The Old Medical College of Georgia, Cedar Grove Cemetery,
St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Partridge Inn.
